A screen grab from Ballmer’s presentation explaining “Just the Facts” topics.

Not long ago I stumbled upon a program on television – not even sure what channel it was on – but it was this man speaking about “The U.S. Budget.” What he was saying intrigued me so I stopped channel surfing and listened to his presentation.

The speaker was Steve Ballmer and following the first presentation, he did another one on the Federal Debt.

Both were repeated that same evening.

As I listened I was impressed with the information presented – it wasn’t pro-Democrat OR pro-Republican – like so many are – in fact he cautioned listeners to listen to “Just the Facts” and draw their own conclusions.

Now that is something I can respect.

It reminded me of Civics Class and good old Lane Jacobson our Civics teacher in 1969/70. I think of him often these days and wonder what he would say about the state of the USA and Democracy. Of course, he is no longer a teacher, I’m sure he is retired and lives down south somewhere so his views may have changed in the past 50 plus years since I was in his class.

I know that mine have!

But I do remember what he taught us about the three branches of the U.S., Government and the Checks and Balances among the three branches.

Whatever happened to those checks and balances?

I wonder….

Anyway, if you have the chance to listen to one of Ballmer’s lively presentations I recommend it. You can find his videos by Google-ing his name – he also has one on Immigration that I found interesting and informative.

I won’t hold it against him that he is a former CEO of Microsoft and used to own a sports team – the LA Clippers. His net worth is $119.3 Billion and I probably paid more income tax last year than he did even though I am receiving Social Security and working full time to get a little nest egg together to survive whoever becomes the new president of the USA in November 2024. (Please, God, you know what I mean!)

His presentations are fact-based and appear unbiased – I recommend them and hope that ALL voters who haven’t already made their minds up about Former President Donald Trump and or Vice President Kamala Harris check these out. It might help give you perspective.

I believe Ballmer is planning a whole list of presentations to inform people – so keep checking for new ones to appear. I’ve always said, “An informed voter is something I’ve always wanted to be and it is important to have multiple sources of your information, rather than just one news or entertainment disguised as a news program – remember Saturday Night Live’s Hippie Dippy Weatherman (or was it Newsman? I forget!). Good thing we didn’t fall for that guy’s version of “the facts.” Oh, but he was funny!

That’s entertainment.
