The summer is flying by! The student Summer Reading Program is already complete – please be sure to return your reading logs ASAP. Bring them to the library’s circulation desk, email a picture, leave them in the dropbox outside, or reach out with any questions. Check your emails for more information about exciting prizes arriving later this summer! The adult program ends on August 16.

Highlighted Events Coming Up at the Lake Region Public Library

Tuesday, July 23 @ 2:00 p.m. – Special Storytime with Greg Otis!

Former Devils Lake resident Greg Otis will be in the Community Room at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23 reading his book, Grandpa’s White Cane. Experience this powerful story about the mobility tools white canes, used by people experiencing blindness. Each child will receive a free copy of the book!

Wednesday, July 24 @ 10:00 a.m. – Special Storytime with Smokey Bear! Join a real-life firefighter and the one and only Smokey Bear for a special Storytime about wildfire prevention and fire safety at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24! Weather permitting, Storytime will be outside in the reading garden.

Thursday, July 25 @ 6:30 p.m. – Yoga @ the Library. It’s time for another free yoga class for all ages and experience levels, taught by Joanna Berger! Bring a mat if you have one, or equipment will be provided. See you at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 25 outside the library!

Saturday, July 27th @ 11:00 a.m. – Special Saturday Storytime!

Get ready for snow in the summer with this special Saturday Storytime! See you outdoors at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 27 and be ready to have fun with sensory tables and DIY snow.

Monday, July 29 @ 11:00 a.m. – Preschool Storytime! We are so excited to continue Storytime through the summer this year! Join us every Monday at 11:00 a.m. for reading, games, crafts, and fun!
