We are three weeks into the Summer Reading Program for 2024 and holy moly are we having a blast! Hundreds of people have attended our programs for all ages, and adults participating in the program through Beanstack have already logged a staggering 110,356 minutes read! That’s roughly 10 straight weeks of reading nonstop 24 hours a day.

Thursday, June 27 @ 6:30 p.m. – Yoga @ the Library! This summer’s second Yoga @ the Library will be Thursday, June 27 at 6:30 p.m.! Meet on the basketball court at Central Middle School across from the north side of the library for a free class with the one and only Joanna Berger. All ages and experience levels welcome! Bring a mat if you have one, or else one will be provided for you.
Friday, June 28 @ 1:00 p.m. – Jim & Marsha Samson present: Birds of North America! Join these expert presenters at 1:00 p.m. in the Community Room at the Lake Region Public Library for a presentation, video, bird bingo, and more to learn about birds of North America! Jim & Marsha have presented at White Horse Hill and around the Lake Region. Free and open to all ages!
Monday, July 1 @ 11:00 a.m. – Preschool Storytime. Head to the library at 11:00 a.m. every Monday this summer for preschool storytime! Recommended ages 3-5 with a responsible adult present.
Thursday, July 4th – The Lake Region Public Library will be closed in observance of Independence Day. Regular hours will resume at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, July 5.
