It’s spring which means the weather will be warmer, the skies clearer, and it’ll be better to do more traveling by vehicle. While this winter wasn’t the worst, we still got days of extreme cold, snow, and ice that we had to drive through. It might be time to get your car checked if you haven’t already. We spoke to a representative at Devils Lake Cars who gave us some advice on you can prepare and take care of your car in springtime.

Due to the freezing weather, potholes likely formed on the roads so get your vehicle’s alignment checked out.

Get the air conditioning system checked up before it gets really hot.

If you’re wondering about an oil check it is based on your driving habits. If you did a lot of driving, it might be time to get the oil checked and/or changed.

During winter, trucks are spreading salt on the road to melt the ice. Make sure to get your vehicles cleaned completely in case some of that salt is still lingering in your engine.

Get the cooling system checked so that when the weather starts to get hot your vehicle’s engine will be protected from overheating.

Get the fluids looked at and inspected for abnormal wear and tear.
