The Devils Lake Park Board had a regular meeting on Thursday March 21. Here are some highlights from the meeting:
The Creel Bay Golf Course will be getting some general cleaning, particularly hole #14.
Lots of Dockside Entertainment news. Furniture and computers are still being put in. A soft opening is planned for early April with the public opening in May. On April 4 and 8, Dockside will be having job fair days to look for prospective employees.
The Park Board approved $1000 for startup cash approval and up to $2500. Three spots are needed for the extra cash. The front desk, concessions, and back desk.
The Park Board approved donors to Dockside to be recognized on the Dockside donor wall.
The Park Board approved a motion to spend up to $4000 for interior signage regarding membership and playground signage for warnings and safety.
The concession stand was not health code compliant as it needed a three-part sink, floor drain, and handwashing sink. The board was not happy that the contractor did not notify them ahead of time. The board approved a motion for $19,653 to bring Dockside up to code. “The board wasn’t happy that this wasn’t known upfront,” board member Kale Stromme said.
The board approved adding additional cameras at the concession stand and above the cash register till.
