The clock turned back a century Oct. 28th at Lake Region State College for the Roaring 20s Key Event and the night was the “cat’s pajamas.”

The Community College Foundation that supports LRSC is pleased to announce that this year’s Key Event raised $85,000. That’s a lot of clams in 1920s terms. Each year the Key Event raises money that the Community College Foundation uses to support student needs.

“Year after year this community and region step up to support LRSC at the Key Event,” said Dr. Doug Darling, LRSC President.

This year’s event was held at Hofstad Ag Center with items available to bid on during a silent, live, and virtual auction. About 275 people attended the event.

“The evening was fantastic and in the end we raised funds that will be used to support LRSC students,” said Elonda Nord, Executive Director of the Community College Foundation. “The community came out once again with

giving hearts.”

Dollars raised support LRSC students in a variety of ways from scholarship to program support, student support services, library, technology, or other student needs.
