The weather outside may once again be frightful, but we are already thinking summer here at the Lake Region Public Library! We will once again be hosting a reading program for students in grades 1-12 and a separate program for adults this summer, following the theme “Adventure Begins at Your Library.” Would you like to be a lasting part of this important and fun literacy program? Monetary donations are always accepted, but we also would love individuals or groups who would like to run a program, read for a story time, and generally hang out with us!
Highlighted Events Coming Up at the Lake Region Public Library Wednesday, March 6 @ 10:30 a.m. and Thursday, March 7 @ 11:15 a.m. – Preschool Storytime! We love reading and doing activities with our preschool friends and their responsible adults! Each week, we will read books, do crafts, play games, and have fun with friends. This week’s theme is “Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!”
Thursday, March 7 @ 7:00 p.m. – LRPL Book Club: Ghost Bride. Join the Lake Region Public Library’s monthly book club in discussing Yangsze Choo’s Ghost Bride, a novel following Li Lan as she agrees to marry a restless spirit to help him pass on to the other side.
Monday, March 11 – Wednesday, March 13 – Library Closed: Painting! The Lake Region Public Library is getting PAINTED! We will be closed all day on Monday, March 11, as well as until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12 and Wednesday, March 13. We can’t wait to share the new interior with everyone!
