Coming soon… The Lake Region Public Library is THRILLED to welcome North Dakota Poet Laureate Denise Lajimodiere on Wednesday, February 21 at 4:00 p.m.! Thanks to a generous grant from the Library of Congress, Institute of Museum and Library Services, and North Dakota State Library, the country’s first Ojibwe poet laureate will read from her new book, Josie Dances, host a discussion, and be available for book signings. This event is free and open to all! Be sure to check out Josie Dances or her heartbreaking account of atrocities committed in boarding schools in Stringing Rosaries: The History, The Unforgivable, and the Healing of Northern Plains American Indian Boarding School Survivors, both available at the library. See you on February 21!
