It is almost that time again when we collect and publish stories about family farms – past, present and future. February begins our focus on local agriculture and each year we ask our readers to submit stories and photos about life on the farm as it used to be or is now or will be someday in the future.
If you have fond memories of living on the farm when you were younger, or interesting stories about life on the farm – where you grew up, or grandma and grandpa’s farm – any farm-related story that you want to share with our readers I will put together in the farming or ag-focused pages in February and during Ag Week in March.
Send photos and information to Louise at loleson@cmpapers.com
If you don’t have access to a computer, you can mail your photos and story in to me, but please provide a contact number for you and the best time to call if I have any questions about what you sent and where I can return your items when we are finished with them. I can scan in old photos but will have to retype hand-written documents, etc. So please get them to me as soon as possible! We start publishing Ag Stories in early February!
I grew up on a farm, myself, and spent many happy days visiting neighbors who had bigger and nicer farms than we had. Share your stories with us! Please!
