It was a day of celebration and good times at the Elks Lodge on New Year’s Day. A yearly tradition, the “Get Well Party” invites both members and non-members to come to the Elks and enjoy some food, drinks, and tunes. Mike Morse, a guitar and singer player from Fargo, played and sang music throughout the day of joyful new beginnings. Some even took to the dance floor to get their groove on.
The Elks was packed from the moment doors opened in the afternoon. All the seats had been taken and those who came late had to find standing room. Everyone though was in good spirits as friends and family wished each other a “Happy New Year” and welcomed 2024 with a grand time.
In case you missed out, apart from alcoholic drinks, the food served included hot DIY burgers, meatballs, soup, chips, crackers, pasta, and pumpkin pie. It was a free-will donation for everyone.
Raffles were also given away. Prizes included tickets to an upcoming comedy show that will be at the Elks. Bigger prizes included cash with the biggest payout being $5000. A total of $12,000 was given away.
