The crisp fall air has arrived, which means the Lake Region State College Key Event is right around the corner!
This year the college is jumping into the DeLorean time machine and going back a few decades for a Rockin’ 80s Key Event. This year’s Key Event is October 27 in the Hofstad Ag Center. The event starts at 5:30 p.m. and incudes raffles, games, silent and live auction, dinner, and entertainment.
Tickets are on sale now for the fall fundraiser presented by the Community College Foundation that supports Lake Region State College. Cost is $60 per person. Tickets may be purchased at LRSCFoundation.org, through Key Event committee members or by calling 701.662.1600. Key Event committee members say this year’s event will be a “rad totally tubular time.”
“Each year the Key Event kicks off our annual fundraising campaign,” said Foundation Executive Director Elonda Nord. “Dollars raised during the Key Event can be designated to support a wide variety of areas that benefit students.”
Auction items are rolling into the college, but the committee is still looking for some wonderful things for guest to bid on through the night.
“We are looking for a wide variety of items for the auction,” said Kris Johnson, co-chair of the Key Event. “Having a wide array of items – small and large – indoor and outdoor – items for a man cave or she shed – we are looking for it all,” she said.
