Thursday, July 27, 2023 is Miracle Treat Day and your Devils Lake Dairy Queen is excited to be participating in the fun.
Each year, Dairy Queens across the U.S. donate part or all, of the proceeds of Blizzard sales for one day to a Childrens Hospital near them. In our case, the hospital we support is Sanford’s Children’s Hospital in Fargo and we will be donating $2 for each blizzard sold to them. We also sell Miracle Balloons during the month of July. Each balloon costs $1 and there are $2 worth of coupons that go back to the customer.
This is the 39th year of the DQ partnership with Children’s Miracle Network and the 16th year that Devils Lake has participated. Over that time, $175 million has been raised in the US and Canada. Locally, we are proud to have raised almost $88,000. These funds help local children and families get much needed medical care and support.
Each year, we invite a Miracle Child to come to our store on Treat Day and help with making treats and blizzards. It is always a local child who has received care at Sanford’s Children’s Hospital. We are looking forward to welcoming one again this year.
Larger groups or businesses can pre-order blizzards to be ready for pickup on Thursday. We also have coupons that can be purchased for mini, small or medium blizzards. These coupons can be used any time during the upcoming year. Please call 662-4622 by 4 p.m. Wednesday to order blizzards for pickup. Coupons will be available for purchase all day Thursday.
