Sharon Ann (Walter) Will, 72, of Palm Harbor, Florida, formerly of Devils Lake, ND, passed away Oct. 28, 2019, after a recent reoccurrence of breast cancer.
Sharon Ann (Walter) Will, 72, of Palm Harbor, Florida, formerly of Devils Lake, ND, passed away Oct. 28, 2019, after a recent reoccurrence of breast cancer. In her final days she was surrounded by all of her family and a steady stream of friends. A funeral mass was held on Thursday, Oct. 31 at St. Ignatius of Antioch Parish, in Tarpon Springs, FL. Sharon was born in, Devils Lake, where she met and married the love of her life, Wayne Will. After brief stops throughout the Midwest the Will’s made their home in Palm Harbor, FL, 38 years ago. Knowing the benefits of being close to her children Sharon was a stay-at-home mother while her children were young. She returned to the work force as a speech pathologist in the Pasco County Schools and later she did one-on-one early intervention with toddlers, through Early Steps. Her retirement gave her the opportunity to influence children as a volunteer at Tarpon Springs Elementary. She was a member of Delta Gamma Sorority, Past President of the Palm Harbor Junior Women's League, also Palm Harbor Woman of the Year and Teacher of the Year. She enjoyed Tai Chi Club, Mahjong Club, and was an avid Canasta player. She is survived by; her loving husband, Wayne; son, David (Annie); daughters, Jennifer (Billy) Monteverde and Marnie (Nannette) Crowley; sisters-in-law, Mary Walter and Mary Rutten; four nieces and nephews and her true pride and joy, her eight grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by; her parents, Joseph and Dorthy (Engan) Walter; her brothers, Jon Michael Walter and Jon Raymond Walter; and a niece, Heide (Rutten) Medina.
