Marjorie M. Dick, 79, of Stanley, ND, formerly of Cando, ND, went home to her Lord and Savior peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2019, with her loving family at her side.

Marjorie M. Dick, 79, of Stanley, ND, formerly of Cando, ND, went home to her Lord and Savior peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2019, with her loving family at her side. Friends and family paid their respects at her Celebration of Life Ceremony held at the Cando Assembly of God Church in Cando with Pastor Michael Rohrer officiating on Sunday Nov. 3 at 2 p.m. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service. Burial took place at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Cando. Casket bearers were Marjorie’s grandchildren: Joshua Haugen, Kayla Haugen, Josi Hill, Cassandra Dick, Jonathon Dick, Jacob Dick and Amanda Dick. Honorary bearer was great-grandchild, Lydia Grace Hartman-Haugen. Marge was born to Emil and Mae (Belcher) Nelson on Aug. 24, 1940. Marge grew up in Sheyenne, ND, graduating in 1958 from Oberon High School. Marge married the love of her life, Eugene C. Dick, on July 19, 1958. This union was blessed with four children, seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Marge worked in Devils Lake, ND, at the Good Samaritan Center for over 25 years. Eugene and Marge lived in Devils Lake for many years before moving to Cando in 2007. Due to ill health, Marge moved into the Mountrail-Bethel Nursing Home on Jan. 23, 2019, in Stanley, ND. Eugene relocated to Stanley to be near her. Marge always enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and attending their activities. Marge was always known for her love and kindness towards others. She was gentle, kind and soft-spoken. She had a heart of gold and always put God, family and friends first. She touched the hearts of many people and showed love to all those who crossed her path. She endured a long chronic illness with grace. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. She always remained positive despite her many health challenges. Marge is survived by; her loving husband of 61 years, Eugene (Stanley); daughter and son-in-law, Dianna and Gene Rosinski (Cando); daughter, Marjean Haugen (Cando); daughter, Darcy Gregg (Ogden, UT); son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Twana Dick (Stanley); grandchildren, Joshua Haugen (Cando), Kayla Haugen (Bismarck, ND) Josi (Kyndahl) Hill (Ogden) Cassandra Dick (Fargo, ND), Jonathon Dick (Fargo) Jacob Dick (Stanley) and Amanda Dick (Stanley); and great-granddaughter, Lydia Grace Hartman-Haugen (Ortonville, MN). Other surviving family members include; brother, Duane Nelson (Devils Lake); and brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Debby Nelson (Little Falls, MN). Marge is preceded in death by; her parents, Emil adn Mae Nelson; brother, Ron Nelson; son-in-law, Kent Haugen; and sister-in-law, Bernice Nelson. Online guestbook is available at www.dunnigandix.com.
