Thomas Harold Kavanaugh, 93, died May 16, 2019. Tom is survived by: his wife of 66 years, Audrey Ann; his eight children, Thomas Jr., Gerald, Theresa Saadeh, Mary, Jeffry, Maureen (Kelly) Rickgauer, Joseph, Laura (Matt) Polacheck; his 11 grandchildren, Nicole (Chris) Tentoni, Mikhael (Savannah) Saadeh, Keith, Liam, Evan, Kaylie and Morgan Rickgauer, Nicholas, Alex, Lillia and Theo Polacheck; and his three great-grandchildren, Grace and Claire Tentoni, and Ameerah Saadeh. Tom was born on a farm in Crary, ND, on March 16, 1926, with his twin brother James. He graduated from Devils Lake Central High School, ND, in 1944 and then attended two years of college, after which he enlisted in the US Air Force in 1950. After an honorable discharge in 1954, he earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1957. After retiring from Square D/Schneider Co, he was a substitute teacher, coached basketball, softball, and volley ball at St Agnes Elementary School, and did many years of volunteer work for his church. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and watched a lot of sports on TV. Tom was involved with the Milwaukee Public School Committee of 100, and was active in promoting the building of Vincent High School. He loved singing and was a member of the St Agnes choir for 55 years. He especially loved Friday night get-togethers with his wife, Audrey, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on June 15 at St Agnes Church 12801 W. Fairmount Ave, Butler, WI. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Mass will begin at 12 noon.
