A large building that has remained more or less vacant for much of the past three years will undergo a transformation in the days and months ahead, according to Brad Barth, Executive Director of Forward Devils Lake Corporation.

Forward Devils Lake Corporation announced recently that a recommendation had been made and approved of by the City of Devils Lake Building Authority to accept a negotiated agreement to sell the vacant Industrial Park Building located at Lot 1 Pasta Acres Subdivision, Block 2, Replat of Devils Lake Industrial Park.

It’s the location of the former Ultra Green factory and Noodles by Leonardo on U.S. Highway 2 west of Devils Lake. The new owners plan to create 10 to 13 jobs at start up time (this fall) and up to 25 to 30 jobs in five years or so. The plant will be a “farm-to-table” value added business that could be a boon to the entire region.

Barth continues to work with the company representatives and as soon as the deal is finalized, he will release the business’s name plus further information and details of their plans, so “stay tuned!”
