Robert ‘Bob’ Cossette, 62, Bismarck, ND, passed away Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, at his home.

Robert ‘Bob’ Cossette, 62, Bismarck, ND, passed away Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, at his home. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20 at DaWise Perry Funeral Services, Mandan, ND, with Deacon Terry Glatt officiating. Visitation is scheduled for 5 – 7 p.m. at DaWise-Perry Funeral Services, Mandan. Visitation continues one hour prior to the service at DaWise Perry. Robert was born July 20, 1956, at Fargo, ND, to Carol and Marjorie (Zenk) Cossette. He was raised and educated in Devils Lake where he graduated from St. Mary’s High School. He served in the Army for two years prior to attending the University of North Dakota. He married Donna Fandrich in 1979, and to this union was born three daughters. He later married Yvonne (LaFrenz) Elgaen in 2009, after 18 years of courtship, bringing her own five children to the family. Robert worked for over 25 years as a CNA in both Underwood, ND, and Bismarck. He enjoyed helping others in many areas of life. He enjoyed astronomy and figuring out how mechanical things worked. He was always attuned to the news of the world through CNN. In later years, he developed an interest in firearms. He especially loved all his children and step-children and spending time with all the grandchildren. He is survived by; his daughters, Kristin (Wade) Girodat, Langdon, ND, Alecia (Paul) Sacchetti, Hatton, Patrina Gerbitz, Rugby, ND, and Montel Elgaen, Bismarck; sons, Tom-Paul (Amanda) Elgaen, Rugby, Joshua (Casey) Elgaen, Beulah, ND, and Michael Elgaen, San Diego, CA; nine grandchildren, Catherine, Carter, Holly, Harley, Devyn, Kassie, Taiten, Grace and Mara; sisters, Carolyn (Tom) Hesford, Bismarck, Nancy (Keith) Strand, Devils Lake, and Amy (Tom) Brozik, Spokane, Wash.; brothers, John (Karla) Cossette, Barry (Karen) Cossette, and Jim Cossette, all of Bismarck; and many nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by; his parents; wife, Yvonne; and daughter, Carol.
