Kevin Raymond Halone, 53, of Yuma, AZ (formerly Devils Lake, ND) passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 14, 2018 from metastatic uveal melanoma at his home under the loving care of his family and Southwestern Palliative Care and Hospice.

Kevin Raymond Halone, 53, of Yuma, AZ (formerly Devils Lake, ND) passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 14, 2018 from metastatic uveal melanoma at his home under the loving care of his family and Southwestern Palliative Care and Hospice. Funeral Services will be held on Sat., Dec. 29, 2018 at 2 pm in Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Rolla, ND. Pastor Rick Craig officiating. Cremation has taken place and burial will take place following funeral services in the Rolla City Cemetery, Rolla, ND. Kevin was born on March 24th, 1965 to John and Pamela (Mundy) Halone at Rolla, ND. He was baptized at Apostolic Lutheran and confirmed at Rolla Methodist Church. A 1984 graduate of Rolla High School, he furthered his education at Bismarck State College attaining his AAS in the lineworker’s program. He worked as a service rep and journeyman lineman for Otter Tail Power Company for 17 years in Finley, Harvey and Devils Lake. In 2005, Kevin began working for the US Department of Energy (Western Area Power Administration) as a journeyman lineman – Upper Great Plains until November 2016 when he transferred to Desert South West, Yuma. Kevin was a dedicated employee and took great pride in his work. He treasured his relationships with his co-workers and considered them to be family. Kevin also served with the Army National Guard of North Dakota for 5 years. Kevin did enjoy playing guitar, singing, riding his Harley, working on cars, hunting, fishing and cheering on the NDSU Bison and Minnesota Vikings. Kevin and Joyce (McClaflin) were married on Oct. 22, 2004 at Red Lodge, MT. He was once married to Michelle Charlebois. Kevin is survived by his wife, Joyce of Yuma, AZ; his children, Mikayla Halone of Missoula, MT, Ashley McClaflin and grandson, Kaleb of Valley City, ND, and Aaron McClaflin (fiancée Kelsey Anderson) of Fargo, ND; his parents, John and Pamela Halone of Rolla; brothers, Jon Mark (Dawn) Halone and Steve Halone (fiancée Dana Haugen) both of Rolla; uncles and aunts, Terry and Connie Halone of Wausau, WI and Dwight Mundy (fiancée Michell Sayers) of Dickinson, ND; brother’s-in-law and sister’s-in-law, Gary (Linda) Gross of Fredericksburg, VA, Tom (Joyce) Gross of Jamestown, ND, Dave (Linda) Gross of West Fargo, ND, and Janeen (Troy) Minor of Athelstane, WI; many cousins, nieces and nephews; and best Furry Friend, Loula (AKA: Lewis). Kevin was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Senia Halone, maternal grandparents, Raymond and Gertrude Mundy, and Furry Buddies – Spencer, Harley and Cheeva. Kevin’s family are very thankful for the care and compassion that Kevin received during his illness and passing.
