Clyde Kukert, 71, died Nov. 23, 2018. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30 at McCabe United Methodist Church, Bismarck, ND. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5 – 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 on Thursday, Nov. 29 at Bismarck Funeral Home. Clyde Lee Kukert was born Nov. 17, 1947, to Albert and Leona (Heather) Kukert in McClusky, ND. He then moved to Fargo, ND, and graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1965. He joined the Marine Corp and served two tours in Vietnam as a rifleman. While serving he married JoEllen ‘Cookie’ Lindsey. He was wounded in combat and received the Purple Heart. They were blessed with twin sons, Norman and Curtis. Clyde went on to complete his college education and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rapid City National Business College, SD. Clyde started his career with the Internal Revenue Service. After returning to Fargo, they had their third son, Timothy. While continuing to work for the IRS in Bismarck, he became well known as the ‘tax man’ on the radio. He was a member of the American Legion, AMVETS and VFW.  After retirement he enjoyed walking with JoEllen, coffee at McDonald’s every day, reading and deer hunting. Family meant everything to Clyde.  He is survived by; the love of his life, JoEllen; son, Curt (Sue); brothers, Delano (Kay), Allan (Pat); sisters, Sherleen Larson, Carol (Jim) Sharp; and sister-in-law, Sharon Kukert.  He was preceded in death by; his parents; his sons, Norm and Tim; his brothers, Jerry (Diane) and Larry; brother-in-law, Terry Larson; and nephews, Jason Schlaht and Johnny Kukert.
