G. Patrick Belford, 61, of Salem, VA and formerly of Devils Lake, ND, went to heaven Sunday, October 4, 2015.

He was born on March 28, 1954 to the late Raymond Joseph and Grace (Peterson) Belford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Noella Peterson; step-son, Kevin Crough; and nieces Pammy, Karla, and Heidi.

During his high school days, Patrick played ice hockey and football. He went on to play football at Bemidji State University. He obtained a degree in Computer Networking at Lake Region UND in Devils Lake. Patrick was employed with the railroad for 19 years, and currently was employed with HCA at Lewis Gale, where he was a computer network administrator. Patrick loved to fish and loved his time at the lake. He enjoyed traveling, and had many great adventures and motorcycle trips all over the world.

His faith was very important to him. He loved children; his mission in life was to bring music to any child that wished for an instrument. He bought many guitars and other instruments to give to these children. All of Patrick’s friends and family members were so dear to him. He was a devoted step-father to his step-children, loving them as his own. He will be deeply missed.

Family left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 15 years, Terri Belford; step-children, Shaun Crough and his girlfriend Michelle, and Jennifer Crough and her boyfriend Aaron; siblings, Joe and Mary Lou Belford, Judy and Lynn Ratzlaff, Ranae and Larry Holody, Cindy and Rodger Wetzel, and Debby and Tim Bone; step-grandchildren, Dailyn, Paityn, Gabbey, Liam, Allie, Bailey, and Caleb; numerous nieces and nephews; special life-long friends, Kip Svidal and Donovan Foughty; godsons, Erick Holody and Nicholas Brockman; other family, and so many dear friends.
