Chad Palmer, a lifelong resident of Devils Lake, sank a hole-in-one Tuesday night at Creel Bay Golf Course. The par-3 17th is about 120 yards, and Palmer hit his incredible shot right before closing time at about 9 p.m. However, this wasn’t Palmer’s first hole-in-one at the course.
“My first one was in May of 2014 on the exact same hole,” Palmer said. “I was the first one to make a hole-in-one on that hole.”
Palmer reports that he is racking up hole-in-one plaques.
“I got a plaque for my first (hole-in-one). It’s hanging in my office,” Palmer said. “I don’t know what I’m going to do with this one.”
Though Palmer says that he usually plays on Tuesdays and Thursdays, he’s taking visiting family out to Creel Bay for a few rounds. With his record so far, it wouldn’t be surprising if he gets the hat trick.
