Darren James McKay, “Nav”, 44, of Fort Totten, ND, began his journey to the Spirit World on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.  


He was given the Indian name, Wicowahba Yuhamani which means “Walks With Humility.”  He who has walked the path of humility on this earthly journey, soars highest on the journey to the Spirit World.


The wake for Darren will be at the Fort Totten Wellness Center, on Friday, June 24,  beginning at 5 p.m.  The procession to Fort Totten will leave at 4 p.m. on Friday from the City Plaza in Devils Lake.


Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 25, at 10 a.m. at Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Fort Totten with Father Charles Leute OP celebrating the Mass.  Darren will be laid to rest in St. Jerome’s Cemetery, rural Fort Totten.
