As the meeting drew to a close, board member Jeff Frith commented on how all the Firebirds families and fans had impressed him and many others at the state tournament. That led other board members to share their experiences, as well. Comments had come even from other schools represented that they were impressed with Devils Lake. One official from another school even asked if they could hire Devils Lake fans to come and cheer for their team. “If there were a spirit award given, Devils Lake sure would have won it,” Frith said.
