Lake Region State College is serving 1,840 students this fall, with encouraging growth in several programs and a strong incoming freshman class.
Fall 2026 enrollment includes 485 full-time students. While that number is slightly below the 490 full-time students enrolled in fall 2025, it remains higher than the fall 2024 count.
In fall 2025, LRSC served 1,916 students, including 490 full-time students, who generated 14,175 total credit hours.
“Fall 2025 was our strongest enrollment year since the pandemic,” said LRSC President Carmen Simone. “Although our overall numbers are down slightly this fall, we are encouraged by what we are seeing. Several programs are well positioned for growth in 2027.”
Business, automotive technology and nursing all showed growth this fall. LRSC is also building new opportunities in allied health to help meet workforce needs and give students more options close to home.
LRSC launched its Surgical Technology certificate in fall 2025 with six students. This fall, the college added a Medical Laboratory Technician program and welcomed five students into its first cohort.
These programs build on LRSC’s strong academic offerings and open additional pathways into essential careers.
“The college will continue working with our programs to build on areas of strength and explore thoughtful opportunities for growth,” Simone said.
Lake Region State College is looking at new certificate options and other ways to rebuild participation while responding to what students and employers need.
The fall census is a snapshot of the students LRSC is serving this semester. A comprehensive enrollment report will be released in July 2027.
