DEVILS LAKE, N.D. – During the Sept. 8 City Commission meeting, City Commissioners Jason Pierce, Lisa Uhlenkamp, Rob Hach and Joe Knowski, Interim Auditor/Assessor Rob Johnson, City Attorney Jason Sayler, Police Chief Jason Toso, and Fire Chief Nate Bennett applauded as Mayor Jim Moe presented City Engineer and Public Works Director Mike Grafsgaard with a certificate of appreciation for his 25 years of service to the City of Devils Lake.
“Twenty-five years, holy cow, man,” Moe said while presenting the certificate to Grafsgaard. “It has been truly a pleasure working with you. … Congratulations and appreciate your dedication and commitment to us.”
Grafsgaard offered his thanks amid the applause.
Nickolas Holter, who was not present at the Sept. 8 meeting, later received a certificate of appreciation for his 10 years of service with the Devils Lake Police Department.
