As North Dakotans look to the coming of colder weather, one thing is certain, there will be home improvement projects to take care of before the snow comes to stay.
Here in Devils Lake this reporter took a sunny Tuesday afternoon to drive around the residential areas of town and caught a number of homeowners in the act of fixing, siding, insulating and other projects that go with preparations for the colder months ahead.
Most people opt to do much of the work themselves, but as you will see from the photos on this page and the pages of the B Section titled Fall Home Improvement, B1 – B4, sometimes the professionals need to step in and do the repairs.
Not everyone has the skills and expertise to tackle home improvement projects. Then it is best to leave the work to the pros.
