As communities across the Lake Region gather for fairs, farmers markets, concerts, and other celebrations, event safety remains a shared priority. To support local organizers, Lake Region District Health offers a Large Event Safety Kit available for community use.
The kit helps organizers strengthen entry-point safety and maintain an efficient check‑in process. It includes a forensic ID scanner to quickly and accurately verify identification, supporting responsible event policies. Clear event signage and wristbands are also provided to guide guests, communicate expectations, and help staff easily identify attendees who have completed ID checks.
Lake Region District Health additionally offers smoke and vape-free signage for community events. These signs help create welcoming, family-friendly environments and promote clean-air spaces for all attendees.
We extend our appreciation to recent partners who have used the Large Event Safety Kit, including the Shores Event Center and the Devils Lake Chamber for their Beer Crawl. Their commitment to safe, responsible events supports positive experiences for both residents and visitors.

The Large Event Safety Kit and smoke-free signage are available to organizers throughout the Lake Region. Community partners are encouraged to contact Lake Region District Health early to reserve materials and learn more about available resources.
