The Easter Bunny thought that the approaching blizzard might close schools until after Easter and so decided to hide eggs for the Oberon second graders on Monday April 3rd this year.
Cold as it was the second graders eagerly ran out into the snowy playground without jackets (granted permission by their teacher) to look for their egg.
The snow wasn’t a real good cover as it was a thin layer of light snow and rock hard frozen snow underneath so the Easter Bunny had trouble keeping the bright colored eggs from showing through the snow.
The eggs were found quickly with bare hands braving the cold and after posing for a picture in front of the bulletin board outside their room that displayed all of their art work they opened up their eggs and started eating and “trading” what was inside their egg with one another.
