Devils Lake Police Department (DLPD) reports the following:
5/8/26-5/12/26: Two male juveniles were alleged to have committed numerous vehicle break-ins in the past week. Ignitions were damaged in the process of attempting to steal cars. The juveniles were referred to juvenile court for unlawful entry into vehicles.
5/13/26: A red 2007 Ford Fusion was stolen at 7 p.m. from Applebee’s Restaurant. Keys were left in the car and it was unlocked. DLPD officer in patrol vehicle spotted the vehicle a little later at 200 block of 6th Ave. NE; car didn’t stop when police activated emergency lights which led to a pursuit with several LEOs before fleeing car was stopped. Male & female juveniles alleged to have stolen the car were sent to Grand Forks juvenile detention and referred to Juvenile Court to face charges involving car theft and fleeing police related to the incident.
