Upcoming Events Calendar for May – June, 2026

May 2026: Stop in at the Lake Region Arts Center, corner of 4th and 4th downtown Devils Lake! Open Wednesdays 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., Thursdays 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., Fridays 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Stop in and check out the artwork on display!

May 4 – 8: Shred Week at Western State Bank is May 4 – 8, stop by any Western State Bank location for free, secure document shredding.

May 6: Lake Region Annual Job Fair will be held 2 – 4 p.m. at the Holiday Mall, 425 College Drive S. The Devils Lake Workforce Center staff will be available to show you around and share with you our programs and services. Come meet with employers and training providers about opportunities in the region.

May 7: Kiwanis French Toast and Sausage Feed Thursday, May 7 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and again from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the KC Hall, 522 4th Street NE, in Devils Lake to benefit all the things that the Devils Lake Kiwanis Club does to benefit our community and the world, one child at a time.

May 7: Military Family night from 5:30 – 7 p.m. at Dockside Entertainment! Join us for a night of food and fun as we honor the brave men and women of our military! Prizes will be given out for those who pre-register using the QR code from their poster – win tickets to the Minnesota Twins, oil changes from Les Schwab, Chamber Bucks, Summer Pool Pass, toys and more! May 17: The Sons of Norway Heim Lodge invites you to come to a presentation in the basement of St. Olaf Church, corner of 6th Street and 6th Ave. NE, Devils Lake, at 3:15 p.m. on “Syttende mai” to hear special speaker Dr. Peder Gjovik speak about his extensive and fascinating research and direct family history about the Norwegian “Underground” network of courageous Norwegians who resisted the German invasion and the Quisling puppet government during World War II. A short SON business meeting will take place before Gjovik’s presentation, at 2:30 p.m., you are welcome to come to that, as well, or come for Gjovik’s talk only at 3:15.

May 22: District 15 GOP presents Candidate Debate/Forum – Devils Lake Mayoral, County Commission, State Legislators and Federal Candidates have been invited. moderated by Dustin Gawrylow. 7 p.m. in the Robert Fawcett Auditorium at LRSC – open to the public – all are welcome to attend!

May 29 – May 31: Devils Run 34th Car Show and Rod Run in various places throughout Devils Lake and the Lake Region. According to organizer Stan Orness, “Right now we have Devils Run entries from seven states and two Canadian provinces. (Updated 4-17-26) I believe this will be a record year. DON’T MISS IT!!!” Details at www.devilsruncarshow.com.

May 30: It’s A Woman’s World (featured as part of Devils Run), Bill Jerome Arena in Roosevelt Park, Devils Lake, ND. Contact Tara Rogness for more information.

June 9: Annual School Board Election will be held for the Devils Lake School District. Persons interested must have filed an Affadavit of Candidacy, a Campaign Disclosure Statement and a Statement of Interest form by April 6, all were available at the Superintendent’s office in the sports center, 1601 College Drive North, Devils Lake, ND.
