Jan. 7 & 8: The annual Lake Region Extension Round Up, starting with 8 a.m. sponsored breakfast both days at the Memorial Building, 508 4th Ave NE. One of the area’s largest and longest-running agricultural and educational events, the two-day event draws farmers, ranchers, agribusiness professionals, and community members from across the region, with NDSU Extension specialists and industry experts presenting the latest in crop production, livestock management, farm business, and ag economics. Presented by the Devils Lake Chamber of Commerce, the monthly event offers a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for business leaders and business members to network, learn about industry trends, and stay up to date on community news. Jan. 9 & 10: The annual Patriot Fish Fest, presented by Smokey Hills Outdoor Store and Ice Castle Fish Houses, will be at Woodland Resort. Social Hour on Friday will be at the Woodland Dome (follow signs) 5 – 6 p.m., followed by the mandatory rules meeting 6 – 6:30 pm. that will also be livestreamed on American Heroes Outdoors Facebook page.
