Aug. 27: The Lake Region Public Library is hosting the speed puzzle competition Puzzle Palooza at 6:30 p.m. Spots may still be available, but prior registration is required by Aug. 13 to compete. $40 per team + 2-4 people per team. Aug. 29–30: The NBHA North Dakota District 01 Finals & Tack Swap will bring two days of exciting barrel racing and riding gear merchandise to the Altringer Arena. Riders of all ages will compete in Peewee, Youth, Teen, Open and Senior divisions throughout the weekend. Racing starts at noon both days. The Tack Swap will be held both days, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., offering a great opportunity to shop for saddles, tack, western gear and more while enjoying the races. Sept. 10: The Devils Lake Chamber of Commerce will host the 18th annual Wine Walk 4:30 – 8 p.m. in downtown Devils Lake. The night of the walk, exchange your ticket at the Chamber trailer in Bridgestone Park for a passport to check in, and let the fun begin! Sept. 11 – 13: Devils Lake Chute Out Rodeo returns for three action-packed performances at the Western State Bank Event Center. Watch cowboys and livestock compete in exciting rodeo action, including events such as bull riding and steer wrestling. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. Fri. & Sat. and 4:30 p.m. Sun.
