July 2026: Follow the Yellow Brick Road this summer to an unforgettable theatrical experience as Fort Totten Little Theatre presents the timeless classic, “The Wizard of Oz,”! Follow the journey of young Dorothy Gale, swept away by a cyclone from her Kansas farm to the vibrant, magical Land of Oz. To get home, she must travel to the Emerald City to seek the help of the Wizard. Joined by the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion, they must outwit the Wicked Witch of the West and discover that there truly is no place like home. This musical production will be performed under the stars at Roosevelt Park 8 p.m. – 10 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays in July starting July 8. Ticket prices range from $27.44 – $132.71. Wednesdays: Yoga @ the Library! The Lake Region Public Library will host family-friendly yoga sessions taught by Joanna Berger to address health, mental wellbeing and more. Free to all participants with all ages and experience levels welcome! July 10 & 11: The annual community-wide celebration Tolna Days is returning to Tolna, with many family-friendly events and activities. Come on Friday for Brats & Burgers in the Fire Hall hosted by the EMT’s. A meat raffle will follow, then Moonlight Music on the street at 9 p.m. On Saturday, there will be a car show at 10:30 a.m., parade at 1 p.m., followed by kids’ games and a vendor show in the park at 2 p.m. A BBQ turkey supper will be held in the park at 4:30 p.m., finishing with a dance on Main St. featuring Ryhme or Reason at 9 p.m. Make plans to come and enjoy the day. July 14: Join the fun as “Arts in the Park” features a concert with Gordy & Deb, performing a variety of country and old time rock & roll songs at 7 p.m. in the Galleger Elks Band Shell in Roosevelt Park. July 15: Establish meaningful contacts at the Lake Region Community Resource Fair, a free community event, to connect individuals and families with services, programs, and organizations available throughout the Lake Region, including healthcare resources, behavioral health resources, family support, housing assistance, employment opportunities, educational programs, financial resources and other community services. In celebration of National Hot Dog Day, free hotdogs will be served while supplies last. The event will be held 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the old Family Dollar building next to TSC, 200 Hwy 2 West. July 15: The Elks Lodge will host a Spaghetti Feed with Goodwill offering at 5 p.m. The spaghetti and meatballs dinner will come with a side salad, garlic toast, and dessert. Located at 425 Hwy 2 West.

July 18: The Lake Region Public Library will host “Project: Constellation,” a special book signing for Christina Silva’s completed young adult fantasy trilogy, featuring live Scandinavian music. July 18: Fire and Iron: Station 216 Devils Brigade will hold its 5th Annual Autism Run, a 180-mile ride leaving from Old Spirits and Sushi, 318 Fourth St NE, in Downtown Devils Lake. All vehicles welcomed. Route to be announced on the date of the ride. $25 per bike/car, $10 per passenger. Registration starts at 10:30. Kickstands up at noon. All proceeds go to the Premiere Autism Center at Altru in Grand Forks, N.D.
