The joy of the holiday season isn't just for children -- your heart will grow three sizes when you see this photo of a mall Santa Claus spreading Christmas cheer to a World War II veteran.
Gina Wilbur was visiting a mall in Wilmington, Del. when she spotted Santa walking toward a veteran sitting on a wall. According to her Facebook post, the veteran stood up to greet Santa, and Santa took a knee and told the man about others who had served in the military and thanked him for his service.
According to Good Morning America, the veteran was later identified as 93-year-old Bob Smiley of Wilmington. Smiley is a father of 10, a grandfather of 26 and also has several great grandchildren. He told GMA that he was "thrilled" by the Santa encounter.

"He is almost a real Santa Claus," Smiley told GMA. "He's a very nice man. I was thrilled. I was sitting there and he bent down his knee. His father was in WWII the same as me and also, his father was in the Korean War and has since passed away."
Wilbur even got to snap a sweet selfie with Smiley and Santa a few days later, after her Facebook photo gained popularity.
