DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (AP) — The U.S. Marshalls Service is searching for a federal prisoner who escaped from jail in Devils Lake for the second time in two years early Saturday morning.

The Marshalls Service says Wesley E. Brown III escaped from custody at the Lake Region Law Enforcement Center around 1:15 a.m.

Brown was in federal custody awaiting sentencing after he pleaded guilty last May to charges of possession of a firearm by convicted felon and escape.
Brown previously escaped a jail in Rugby in June of 2013. He was captured a few hours after that escape.

He is described as a six-foot-one-inch white man who weighs approximately 250 pounds and has brown hair. He has tattoos on his arms, both sides of his neck, and one teardrop tattoo near his right eye.
