According to the Devils Lake Police Report a three-car accident at the intersection of Highway 2 and 5th Ave. SE in the city sent three people to Mercy Hospital.
Vehicle No. 1 was driven by an 86-year old man.
Vehicle No. 2 was driven by a 26-year old female who had a four year old male passenger in the vehicle with her.
Vehicle No. 3 was driven by a 26-year old female.
One of the drivers claimed the light was turning yellow as they entered the intersection.
Individuals in all three vehicles claimed to be injured and were transported to hospital to be treated. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.
The accident occurred at 6 p.m. Tuesday. It remains under investigation as the authorities determine what happened and who should be cited in the incident.
