- The older members of the tribe teach the children about the many parts of the buffalo, inside and out and their use. Here one of the organizers of the buffalo kill, Katherine Howard, cleans out a portion of the bison's digestive system. In the old days the bladder was cleaned out and used to carry water, for example. Everything inside and out had its use.
