She was raised in the St. Michael area and lived most of her life on the Spirit Lake Nation. She attended Little Flower School in St. Michael and Warwick Public School. She and her son, Marlin, moved to Roswell, NM, where she received her GED at the Roswell Job Corp. They returned to North Dakota and Marjorie attended Little Hoop Community College at Fort Totten. Marjorie was at one time married to Richie Ross and they had a daughter, Nicole. She married Larry Cree and to this union was born Alithea and Lorry.
Marjorie served as the director of the Youth, Drug and Alcohol Program for the Spirit Lake Tribe for several years. She especially enjoyed working with the youth of the Spirit Lake Nation. Marjorie was united in marriage to Leonard Kirk and they made their home in Fort Totten and raised as their own Alexis. After her marriage, she and Jay both shared the joy of working with the youth of the area. Leonard “Jay” died on April 17, 2009.
Marjorie enjoyed many pastimes including bingo, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and collecting knick knacks at the many rummage sales she loved to attend. She was an avid reader and enjoyed romance novels. She loved to cook and watched the cooking channels for new ideas and recipes and then shared her creations with her family and friends.
Her most precious time was the time she spent with her grandchildren.
