 Memorial Services for Millette Elizabeth Reslock, 94, of Bandon, formerly of Myrtle Point, OR, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2010, at St. James Lutheran Church, 510 Railroad Avenue in Myrtle Point, OR.  Private burial is at Norway Cemetery.
Millette Reslock was born in Rugby, ND on May 28, 1915, to Jack Retzer, a railroad station master, and Stella (Heacock) Retzer. She died March 1, 2010 in Bandon.
Millette grew up in Berthold ND, where she played basketball in high school. Millette received a teaching degree in art education at Minot State Teachers College. Roy and Millette met while teaching school in Killdeer, ND. They were married on Dec 28, 1938 in Minot, ND. Roy taught in Poplar, MT, Rugby and Minot, ND, before returning to teach in his home town of Devils Lake, ND.
 When Roy was coaching and teaching, Millette followed her passion for art. Millette also had a commercial art credential from the Federal School of Art in Minneapolis and a degree from the Chicago School of Interior Decorating. While in North Dakota, Millette taught design in a junior college had her own drapery business within a furniture store and had her own paint business.
After Roy retired from teaching, they moved to Eugene. While Millette was establishing her interior design studio at Rubensteins, Edmonds and Meier and Frank, Roy worked with her, laying carpet and installing drapes.
 After Millette had a stroke, they moved to Myrtle Point in 1975. Millette continued with her arts and crafts even making myrtle wood pens when she turned 80. She loved to play bridge and any kind of game. Roy and Millette defined work ethics and passion for life as they set the standard high for their children and grandchildren.
Millette was cared for at home and at Heritage Place by wonderful caregivers who enriched her life.  She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church.
Millette is survived by three sons and daughter in-laws, Bob and Ann Reslock of Washougal, WA, John and Judy Reslock of Myrtle Point, Scott and Jean Reslock of Medford; Roy’s brother, Harold of Seattle, WA; Roy’s sister, Dorothy and her husband Dick Leet of Devils Lake; nine grandchildren and spouses, Robin and Eric Pierce of Portland, Lori Hobbs of Maryland, Lisa Reslock of Sherwood, Jennifer and Scott Spink of Dayton, Julie and Marc Newton of Myrtle Point, Jodi and Dean Sanderson of Salem, Jill and Jason Castro of Longview, WA, Chris Reslock, and Ryan Reslock of  Seattle; 12 great-grandchildren, Matt, Morgan and John Newton, Chloe Hobbs, Zachary, Shawnie, and Tyler Spink, Christie Reslock, Bailey and Maddie Castro,  Jacob and Claire Sanderson.
Millette was preceded in death by her husband Roy in 1999 and a sister, Helen McIntire.
The family suggests memorial contributions to St. James Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 157, Myrtle Point, OR 97458.
