Devils Lake Central Middle School will be hosting the North Dakota Middle Level Honors Orchestra this Friday and Saturday, Feb. 17-18.
Eighty string students in grades seven and eight from around the state-wide area have been accepted into the auditioned ensemble and they will be led by guest conductor Jane Capistran, who teaches violin, viola and orchestra at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN.
Four Devils Lake students will be participating in the group: Erin Nelson, Kylie Skadsem and Greg Hammons, violin, and Nicholas Hammons, viola.
The Honors Orchestra will present a concert on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 3 p.m. in the CMS gym. The concert is free and open to the public.
