Michael Hermanson, 53, of New Rockford, ND, died Thursday, January 26, 2012, at Lake Coe, rural McHenry, ND.  
Funeral service was held Monday, January 30 at 10:30 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in New Rockford. Interment was in Storlie Cemetery, rural Hampden, ND.
Casket bearers were David Anderson, Jerrod Holte, Clint Wobbema, Joe Wobbema, Chad Wobbema and Mitch Caudle. Honorary bearers were all of Mike’s family and friends
Michael C. Hermanson was born September 19, 1958, in Calvin, ND, the son of Clarence “Bud” and Luella F. (Tollefson) Hermanson. He attended school in Hampden, ND,  and graduated in 1976.  He attended Devils Lake Region College for one year.
Mike was married to Merrie Kay Werner at Hampden and they had two sons.  On October 11, 1996, he was united in marriage to Tina Wobbema at New Rockford.  They have made New Rockford their home and raised two daughters together.
Mike had worked in Hampden as an elevator manager for many years and also ran his own grain cleaner.  Mike later worked road construction for Close Construction and MYTY Construction and at the time of his death was employed by Close Construction.
He loved to hunt and fish and make up his own songs, he loved watching his girls play basketball and hunting and fishing with his boys.
Mike is survived by his wife Tina; his sons, Jesse, Starkweather, ND, Jordan, Fargo, ND; his daughters, Rachel and Mandy, both at home New Rockford; his parents, Clarence “Bud” and Luella Hermanson, Hampden, ND; three brothers, Jeff (Jolene), Grafton, ND, Dan and Steve (Karla), both of Hampden; two sisters, Pam (Tom) Schmid, Oberon and Sharon (Brian) Hoffmann, Munich; and many many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Agnes Hermanson, Borg and Herman Hermanson; maternal grandparents, Ernest Tollefson and Gina Midjas; and one niece Tessa Hermanson.
