“Upbeat” and “uplifting” have been used to describe the Scott Woods Show, which will be coming to Devils Lake on Tuesday, Feb. 7 at the Lake Region State College auditorium, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
This fiddle show is coming to Devils Lake as part of the current concert season of the Lake Region Concert Association.
This fast paced two hour concert skillfully combines old time fiddling with country gospel songs, perennial favorites and a generous helping of humor.
Guests will be treated to one of Canada's best talents — the man with the flying fingers and the magic bow-fiddling sensation, Scott Woods.
Woods has performed to enthusiastic crowds throughout Canada, the United States and Holland.
Woods has captured all of the major Canadian fiddling titles, including Canadian Open Fiddle Champion, Canadian Grand Master Fiddling Champion and Canadian Fiddle Entertainer of the Year.
There are lots of things to watch for when Woods takes the stage. His keen sense of timing and his sharp wit will keep audience members on their toes.
Woods is backed up by his own four-piece band, which includes another fiddler, guitar/banjo, bass and drums. One member is also a champion step dancer.
Together, they stir up a storm of good music to lift the heart and feed the soul.
For more information on the concert, contact Joan Michalski at (701) 662-2692.
