We have been hearing about Christian Nationalism for some time. We may hear comments about Christian Nationalism more during this election cycle. It is vitally important to point out that the U.S. was not founded as a Christian nation, but a secular nation providing the freedom to choose to be religious or not and equally free to choose what religion everyone chooses for themselves. Some of the founding fathers were indeed Christian and others were not particularly religious.
Bob Christie displays sprawling photos at Lake Region Arts Center
Have you seen the latest brochure for White Horse Hill? It is the one with the elk charging towards the photographer. That beautiful photo was taken by longtime local photographer Bob Christie. On Saturday, April 6, a reception was held at the Lake Region Arts Center where Christie talked about a number of his photographs that are on display and for sale.
Class members of ‘61, ‘62 meet with old friend
Father John Davis (originally from Devils Lake) arrived in the USA from his home in Chimbote, Peru over the Easter weekend for medical appointments at Fargo, and he visited Devils Lake including spending part of the afternoon with fellow classmates from the Class of ‘61 at the Old Main Street Cafe. Five Devils Lake Technicians Earn John Deere Master Certified Status
DEVILS LAKE, ND – Five Service Technicians at Leading Edge Equipment in Devils Lake have been named John Deere Master Certified Technicians. Ken Remmen, Jim McLaurin, Isaac Owlboy, Brady Lee and Kyle Gratton completed advanced training in engine, drivetrain, hydraulic and electrical systems in order to earn the highest level of certification for John Deere Service Technicians.
