Although they didn’t quite make the 1,200 registered participants for the 2010 Devils Run, it was still one for the record books.
According to organizer Stan Orness there were just under 1,100 cars registered, so they’ll shoot for 1,200 for next year.
Those who left with prizes this year were Mary Wald who won the Janice Orness Nursing Scholarship award to LRSC, Paul and Bonnie Mohagen’s 1932 Ford was chosen the ND Street Rod Association’s pick, Ken and Bobbie Gustavson from Williston won Jake’s Pick for their 1939 Ford, Mike Yoder of Devils Lake won the 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle raffled off by the Devils Lake Kiwanis and Ron “Smiley” Nelson won the juke box from LaFleur’s.
Planning for the 2011 Devils Run has no doubt already begun, it will take place June 3 - 5.
