GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — The search for a missing Britton, S.D., man who apparently got lost in dense fog has a happy ending as he was discovered more than 300 miles from home in Minnesota.
KELO-TV in Sioux Falls reports that 82-year-old Leonard Johnson was discovered a nearly six-hour drive from home in Grand Rapids, Minn. He hadn't been seen since Friday.
Police and motorists had been asked to keep watch out for his vehicle — a blue 1990 Ford F-150 truck.
WDAY-TV in Fargo had reported that a man matching his description was reported being seen at a car dealership early Saturday asking for directions.
Officials say Johnson might have gotten turned around by the day's dense fog. Further details weren't immediately available.
