The Devils Lake Police Department would like to inform the public about a registered sex offender, living at 222 West Walnut Street in Devils Lake.
Walter Joseph Grant, 52, has been convicted of a crime against persons who were adult females and must register as a sexual offender in accordance with N.D. State Law.
The risk level for this individual has been assessed as “high” at this time by the State Attorney Generals Office. The subject is a lifetime registrant.
Grant is 5'6” and weighs 180 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes.
Grant is currently incarcerated at the Lake Region Law Enforcement Center in Devils Lake, but does leave the facility for job search.
The Devils Lake Police Department said this notification is not intended to increase fear in the community, but they feel that an informed public is a safer public. Anyone who would like to report suspicious or criminal activity is asked to call the Lake Region LEC at 662-0700.
