The Devils Lake Kiwanis Club made a $650 donation to the Lake Region Historical Center during its regular Kiwanis meeting Tuesday, which was held at the Heritage Center’s Old Post Office Museum.
The meeting was held in conjunction with the unveiling of a display commemorating Kiwanis' active involvement in the area over the years. The display is in memory of Earl and Mildred Marshall, two longtime members of the local Kiwanis Club. It includes a number of items associated with the service club.
LRHC board president George Zenk accepted the donation and said the money would be put into the operational budget and used to pay costs associated with operating the popular museum.
