HAZEN, N.D. (AP) — One man was reported dead and another injured after a shooting in a Beulah apartment in Mercer County.
Officials say that three men are in police custody after the shooting, which was reported at about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday.
The Bismarck Tribune reports that authorities received a 911 call to respond to an unknown emergency at an apartment complex just off state Highway 49 in west Beulah. Reports soon followed that two men had been shot; one died at the scene.
Authorities got a tip that led them to two men believed to be involved in the shooting. A third suspect was taken into custody just before midnight. No names were immediately released.
Mercer County Sheriff Dean Danzeinsen tells the Tribune that he's "confident no other suspects are at large."
