Pastor Jeffrey (Jeff) Lee Wallace, 53, of Fort Mill, SC, formerly of Devils Lake, ND, passed away on Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, at the Pruitthealth, RockHill, SC, in the care of his son and Pruitthealth hospice.
Pastor Jeffrey (Jeff) Lee Wallace, 53, of Fort Mill, SC, formerly of Devils Lake, ND, passed away on Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, at the Pruitthealth, RockHill, SC, in the care of his son and Pruitthealth hospice. A graveside service will be held at Saint Josephs Catholic Cemetery Devils Lake on Saturday, June 16 at 11 a.m. A fellowship luncheon will be held at the Bethal Church, 1312 Walnut St. E., Devils Lake after. He was born to the late Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Kraft Matthews and Lloyd Wallace on Sept. 24, 1964, in Devils Lake. He grew up the youngest of three. Jeff graduated from Minnewaukan High School in 1982. He received a A.S. in computer programing from NDSCS, Wahpeton, ND, in 1985. He also received a B.A. in Central Bible College in Springfeild, MO, in 1990. Jeff pastored various denominations throughout his life. Assembly of God, Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran, Episcopal, Presbyterian, and United Church of Christ churches from 1989 till he retired in 2008. He enjoyed working on computers when he wasn't ministering. Jeff is survived by; his wife, Carolyn Wallace and her two children of Port Charlotte, FL; his daughter, Sarah (Joshua) Acevedo of Lehigh Acres, FL; his son, Johnathon Wallace of Fort Mill; two grandchildren, Jeremiah Acevedo and Blake Acevedo of Lehigh Acres, FL; two brothers, Robert (Carrie) Wallace of Northwood, ND, and Mark (Cheryl) Wallace of Big Lake, MN; and several nephews, aunts and uncles. He was proceded in death by his parents; his mother, Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Matthews; his stepfather, Virgil Matthews; and his father, Lloyd Wallace.
