Although the temperatures outside were bitter with wind chills plummeting to 30 to 45 below zero throughout the region, the hearts of many in Devils Lake were warmed at the Kiwanis Christmas Dinner.

Although the temperatures outside were bitter with wind chills plummeting to 30 to 45 below zero throughout the region, the hearts of many in Devils Lake were warmed at the Kiwanis Christmas Dinner.

Served from just after 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Senior Center a large number of local families, couples and single people enjoyed a hearty meal of baked ham and all the trimmings with friends and neighbors on Christmas Day.

A large number of the meals were dished up first and delivered to people who had called ahead and requested meals to be delivered to their homes within the city limits.
The Devils Lake Kiwanis Club serves both the Thanksgiving Dinner and Christmas Dinner as their gift to the community.
